On Wednesday, May 5, GesherCity Boston, the Consulate General of Israel of New England and Hagshama came together to host "Science and Spirits" at the Museum of Science. This event served as Boston's young adult community's Israel Independence Day celebration! Over 400 young adults attended to learn about Israeli innovation and schmooze.Attendees engaged in interactive and informative booths about Israeli innovation created by the American Committee Weizmann Institute of Science, American Friends of Hebrew University, American Friends of Rambam Medical Center, American Friends of Tel Aviv University, American Technion Society, Hadassah Hospital, and many more. In addition, there were three break out sessions with approximately fifty attendees per session. Experts came and discussed sessions about the creativity of Israeli scientists, clean technology advances in Israel and science and research in Boston and Israel, particularly related to cancer research. Participants were also free to roam a wing of the museum which was reserved for the event and infused with posters about Israel which related to the museum's exhibits.
Young adults explored, learned and danced while listening to Israeli music, eating Israeli food and drinking specialty blue drinks with blue glow-sticks while reading fun Israel-related facts printed on blue napkins!
