Commemorating 14 years to the terror attack on the Jewish community building in Buenos Aires – the young adults demonstrate solidarity
The commemorative event for the victims of the attack upon the communal building of the Jewish community in Buenos Aires took place on July 17 th, with the participation of a record number of young adult participants compared to previous years.
Leading up to the event, in addition to the regular advertisement, a Facebook group on the topic was set up – it attracted more than 2,600 young adults!
Various madrichim schools prepared diverse activities and material in order to maintain the memory and demand justice.
The event itself was impressive and included clips, commemorative addresses, a moment of silence for the memory of the victims, artistic presentations which depicted how the concrete barriers that block the entrances to Jewish institutions in the city, became familiar sights ad nauseam, songs and release of balloons into the sky with the hope that after 14 years those responsible for the attack will finally be brought to justice.
