Hagshama Hebrew Boat – Educational Fun and an Unbelievable success in Cape Town!
On a sunny winter day, with a mirror-like ocean and the caressing rays of the sun, the Hebrew Boat sailed with 35 young adults on a Hebrew-only trip.
The Hagshama department attempts to create innovative and original projects to attract the young adult population. Thus the "Hebrew is Fun – Ulpan" came into being with the aim of teaching the local young adults Hebrew: together with the Israelis in the Cape Town Yeshiva, Hebrew classes were designed to strengthen not only the language but also to provide a place where Israeli culture could be experienced first hand.
Through games and competitions, the young adults learned Hebrew in weekly gatherings. The Hebrew Boat gave them a chance to practice all that they acquired throughout the year in a fun and educational environment.
